In this pack there are several created challenge sheets to be used to introduce Maker spaces/Innovation Labs, or Innovation and creativity into the classroom.

This PowerPoint introduces the Seven Elements of Art and Design with clear examples of each element for all students to understand.
Following this are examples of students work creating a display page with each of the elements.
Finally, there is an assessment for learning opportunity to examine different elements of art within famous pieces of art work.
In this PowerPoint students are introduced to beautiful examples of artist terrariums. These introductions are supported by questions and prompts.
This lesson is intended to be used as a one off lesson, or cover lesson, but could easily be incorporated and adjusted into an integrated learning project examining the world around us and our environment.

This Powerpoint will direct the teacher through a 6 week project based around healthy eating, still life study, painting, printing, adding tone and mixing colours. The PowerPoint is thorough and directs you through each lesson introducing each WALT and WILF, assessment opportunities and simplified instructions for students.
Building upon each week this Primary Art project finishes with the design of a healthy eating campaign which can be easily used for the school-wide community.
Having just completed this project with Year 3 students' I found they most enjoyed the production of cardboard printing plates and would happily recommend this project to others.

This project has worked well for myself as an introductory project for students are the start of the school year. It allows different members of the class to learn about who they are sat with, their interests as well as expressing their own interests. It also introduces the ideas of self and peer assessment.

In this lesson students examine artist Thaneeya Mcardle and create 2D Calaveras.

In this lesson students continue to build an understanding of the patterns which are seen in the festival, as well as the way people chose to show themselves. This understanding culminates in a 2D piece of work which blends a portrait and calavera.

In this project students will examine the varying ecosystems, things they, and other creatures and people, need to survive and the things they want in their lives. This project works best when accompanied by a cross curriculum investigation into nature and ecosystems.
The project examines artists and the creation of terrariums, culminating in a group project to create a fantasy piece.
After completing this project with Year 3's recently I found they enjoyed the freedom and creativity of the group work but have adjusted that section to be at the end of the project once individual work has been complete.

The aim of this lesson is to examine the use of pattern both inside the festival and around the world in order to create a fashion or product outcome illustrated with patterns.

In this lesson, I use the popular game of Magic: The Gathering to introduce students to storytelling in fairy-tales and the composition used in images.
The activity asks students to identify the composition types used with examples.
This unit is built around the opportunity to promote creative writing and interdisciplinary activities over a year/grade group and should be used as a jumping off point.
